Exemplary Cimbalom Orchestra
The Children's Cimbalom Orchestra was founded in 1988, and since its foundation to the present time it has been headed and ruled by the teacher Galina Mechislavovna Ogarok who is the Director and the conductor of it. Every year the orchestra changes its structure and the number of participants is constantly increasing. The orchestra performs at various ceremonies in the town and district. The orchestra's repertoire includes works of Belarusian, Russian, foreign composers.
The orchestra’s achievements and successful performances for many years speak about the professionalism of its members.
In 1989, the Cimbalom Orchestra honorably represented the Republic of Belarus in Kiev where it was awarded a diploma at the International competition-festival. In 1992 at the Republican competition of orchestral and choral groups in honour of I.I. Zhinovich the orchestra was awarded a II degree Diploma and took first place.
In 1996 at the International competition of composers in Grodno the orchestra received the Grand Prix for the best illustration of the composition of the student Anna Markevich. In 1997 the orchestra received the title «exemplary». In 1998 at the Republican contest-festival «Belarus - moya pesnya» it was awarded a III degree Diploma. In 2000 - the first degree Diploma at the Regional Festival of Folk Music. In 2001 - the first prize at the Regional Competition of Choral and Orchestra Ensembles under the title
«Novye imena». 2004, 2008, 2011 it confirmed the title «exemplary».
